Temporarily removing international shipping options.

Editing to add:
There is light at the end of the tunnel, business international tracked service (the service I use) has been resumed by Royal Mail earlier this week. I will be resuming international shipping on my Etsy listings from Mon 6 Feb 2023, to make sure that it’s working OK and to let Royal Mail clear the backlog of mail. Royal Mail states that delivery of International items may take slightly longer than usual and customers using Tracked services may notice different tracking information as items leave the UK.

Unfortunately, I have to temporarily remove international shipping options on all of my Etsy listings, due to Royal Mail experiencing severe service disruption to their international export services following a cyber incident (now identified as ransomware).

Royal Mail has temporarily suspended international services and they strongly recommend that all sellers/businesses temporarily hold any export mail items. At the same time, they are working to resolve the issue.

Currently, all of my Etsy Shop listings have shipping to UK destinations only (domestic), if there is something you are interested in, I can get a courier quote (FedEx or UPS, etc). You can contact me about this via Etsy Messages.

Royal Mail is working around the clock to resolve this and has started to move letters, and packages in Northern Ireland, trialling a workaround system. Hopefully, if this is successful, they will implement the same workaround on the mainland and once they clear the backlog, will allow international items to be posted.

The website has been tinkered with

I have been tinkering with the website this weekend and updating and changing a few things. It is now ready to list products for sale via the webshop which I will start to list shortly.

This webshop will not be in addition to Etsy, but replacing it (unless orders start to increase dramatically in the next few weeks).

All domestic (UK) orders include free shipping. The price is you see, is the price you pay. There is an option to upgrade your delivery to either Royal Mail 1st class signed for, Royal mail special delivery, or Parcelforce (for heavier items), this will incur an additional postage cost on top of the item price.

I cannot wait to get started!

Acquired Yesterday.

I acquired these three pieces of #Portmeirion Botanic Garden yesterday, including a sugar sifter /shaker.

Also obtained were five #vintage Royal Albert Gossamer pattern trios from the 1950s. They were in differing colours, I have all but the pink colourway.

These will be listed in the next few days in my #EtsyShop #galleryantiques

Run free over the Rainbow Bridge….

Saturday was one fo the hardest and saddest days of my life, I lost my best friend Sammi, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Sammi was 17 years old, we have been together since she was 11 weeks old. We have been through a lot together over the years and always stayed strong.

I’m going to miss her dearly, every day, she was one in a million.

Gallery Antiques is back on eBay!

I made the decision last week to re-open my eBay shop after a hiatus of over two and half years.

The reason for the return? Because my shop on Etsy has suffered with a drop in sales since the end of March, as have other sellers.

This is mostly due to Etsy trying to micro manage sellers shops. Also, having to “jump through hoops” to obtain any visibility in a search.

It was worth it, within hours of my first batch of listings, I sold an item, and have sold a few more since.
